Gamejam at the #waterkant18

A game jam is a hackathon for video games. It is a gathering of people for the purpose of planning, designing, and creating one or more games within a short span of time, in this case 48 hours.

Participants either arrive in groups or find new teammates on site. Game jams usually run under a specific theme, which is announced when the jam starts. The participants are free to work whichever way they want; the games are usually in a prototype state when the jam is over. In the end, every team has the chance to present their game to the other jammers and an interested audience. After the final presentations the games are exhibited and playable.

The theme is not set yet, but will likely be a cultural or local thing. Some jams also include a competition, where a winner is chosen amongst the games that have been created. This can be done by a panel of judges or by the jammers themselves. We have not yet decided if this jam will also be a competition.
