Mobility Area at #Waterkant18

The Mobility Area presents the most diverse and current developments within transport modes — new mobility concepts emphasizing sustainable and social benefits, motorized and non-motorized vehicles, innovative technical designs and clever gadgets. Talks, demonstrations and a test track provide the possibility to interactively explore the newest hot stuff regarding mobility.

Try and watch electric cars, scooters and bikes, but come also and hear our outstanding speakers!
For example: Ole Kassow from Copenhagen. He talks about his wish getting the elderly back on their bicycles. Due to their limited mobility he had to come up with a special solution — a trishaw, driven by a pilot and taking the elderly from retirement homes on rides.

The project Cycling Without Age is based on generosity and aims at connecting older and younger generations. Meanwhile, it is represented in 37 countries with more than 1,100 chapters and over 50,000 elderly people have been on rides.

Or participate in an entertaining workshop dealing with innovative mobility concepts. What can be done to reduce cars in your city? How can public transportation become more attractive for you? Martin Kliesow from KielRegion is ready to take you on a creative journey where you can implement your own ideas with Lego serious play.
